If you feel that you can’t quite cope with organising a party yourself, then you might want to consider taking the kids to an amusement park or fairground for the day. This will make any preparation easier on you while ensuring that there’s a great range of fun activities to keep the kids busy

Preparation

Make sure beforehand that you have everything you’ll need during the day. Make extra sure that you have with you medications for any allergies or conditions that the children might suffer from, inhalers for asthma for example

Local fairs

If you are lucky enough for your child’s birthday to fall on, or near a day when there is a fair in a nearby area, then this would make an excellent venue for a fun day out. The rides and game stalls will provide hours of entertainment for the kids, well, that is when they’re not getting stuck into a ball of candyfloss or running around full of joy and excitement!

Because of how busy the fair is likely to be, it’s advisable to keep this sort of outing limited in numbers, or at least make sure that most of the children can be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Try and keep an eye on the kids at all times, as they will be very likely to get a sudden exploration urge and go running off behind a nearby stall or into a crowd!

Petting Zoos

A petting zoo is an ideal venue for a childs birthday party as they are normally not very busy, so several children can be taken along without the need for too much supervision.

Water park

If you are near a water park, then this would be a great location during the summer to take the kids to. Like the fair though, it is advisable to make sure you have plenty of supervision available for each child. Ideally, each child should be accompanied by their own parent/guardian to make everything as safe and as trouble free as possible

Bowling

Its pretty much a certainty that wherever you live, if you travel a relatively short distance you’ll find a glitzy flashy bowling alley complete with burger bars, arcade machines and assorted entertainments. These venues are normally better suited for older kids, roughly ages 8+

Getting there and back

Organising travel arrangements can sometimes be a troublesome area. You must make sure that a suitable number of parents with cars will be accompanying the children on the outing to ensure that everyone can get to the location and back again with the minimum of fuss. It’s also a good idea to allocate at least two parents or guardians to each car, just incase of any little incidents along the way.
